If tess saal baad ! 1st day catching up !

19th Dec'25

"Ik tees saal baad.”

That was the theme.

And honestly, nothing could have been more apt.

It's been 31 years since graduation, but our reunions always have something new.

We finally all assembled at the beautiful Juna Mahal, Ranthambore.

- Friends came in from different cities.
- Some even flew in from abroad.

For many of us, this was the first meeting since graduation, 31 years later.
It took a while to match names to faces.

Time had clearly done its work.
Sharper jawlines had softened, bellies had discovered comfort, hairlines had quietly retreated.
A lucky few wore their salt-and-pepper like a badge of honour.

Then the room came alive.
Fifty-year-olds talking over each other.

- Filling gaps.
- Reclaiming memories.
- Laughing like the last class before the bell rang.

The only thing missing was a professor asking us to “keep quiet.”

The evening was meant to be simple.
We were given five minutes each to sum up three decades.

But passion has a way of ignoring time limits.
Some stories turned into mini biopics : filled with humour, failures, reinventions and survival.

It was fascinating to see how differently life had unfolded for each of us.
And yet how each one went through their own struggles.

At this stage of life, most aren’t chasing titles anymore.
They are chasing meaning.

A purpose.
A way to give back.

Later, we stepped into the open garden, braving the sharp December cold of Rajasthan.

Dinner. Drinks. Endless laughter.
Pure masti.

It was one of those nights that stays with you.

Tomorrow, we head for the tiger safari.

- Open canter.
- Open hearts.

Hoping the jungle is as generous as the day has been.

Signing of till the next update!
